Erase

Works with Bricscad (Windows) Classic, Pro and Platinum, Bricscad (Linux) Classic and Pro

Erases entities from the drawing.

Accessing the Command

command bar: erase

shortcut: Del

alias: delete, e

menu bar: Edit | Erase

toolbar: Standard |

: erase

Prompts you in the command bar:

Select entities to erase: (Choose one or more entities.)

Select entities to erase: (Choose more entities, or press Enter to end command.)

Entities on frozen and locked layers are not erased.

Command Options

Option

Description

Select entities to erase

Chooses the entities to be removed from the drawing.

Entering "All" erases all entities in the drawing.

If entities are erased in error, use the U command to bring them back.

Related Commands

Oops - returns erased entities.

U - unerases erased entities.

Undo - unerases erased entities.

Break - erases a portion of an entity.

Trim - removes portions of entities.
