Works with Bricscad (Windows) Classic, Pro and Platinum, Bricscad (Linux) Classic and Pro

Creates a hidden line representation of all 3D solids in model space as a block or a new drawing.

Accessing the Command

Displays a dialog box:

Command Options

Option

Description

Output new block record

Defines the type of the hidden line representation: block or file

Create new block record

Creates a new block in the current drawing.

Replace existing block record

Redefines an existing block.

If no block is selected, an alert displays:

To select a block:

  1. Click the Select block button ().
    The Flatshot dialog box closes temporarily.
    You are prompted an existing block.

  2. Click the block in the drawing.
    The Flatshot dialog box reopens.
    The name of the selected block shows on the Flatshot dialog box.

Export to file

Exports the hidden line representation to a file.

Click the Browse button to locate and name the export file on the Select export file dialog box:

 

 

Display tangential edges

A tangential edge is the transition line between two tangent faces. It is an imaginary line between the two faces. In most cases tangential edges need to be removed.

Visible lines

Sets the linetype and color for the visible lines.

Hidden lines

Sets the linetype and color for the hidden lines.

 

 

Insert options

Defines the insert options for a new block

Position on screen

Lets you define the insertion point of the block on screen.

Type the coordinates of the insertion point in the X, Y and Z fields.

Scale on screen

Lets you define the scaling of the block on screen.

Type the X- and Y-scaling factor in the X and Y fields.

Rotation on screen

Lets you define the rotation angle of the block on screen.

Type the rotation angle in the Angle field.

 

 

Plane

Defines the plane to insert a new block.

The options are:

XY plane: XY plane of the WCS

YZ plane: YZ plane of the WCS

XZ plane: XZ plane of the WCS

Current view plane: plane parallel to the current view

 

 

OK

Creates the hidden line representation.
