Performance: Other Hints

Some hints from all area, uncategorised otherwise, are collected in this chapter.

1. Visual Entity Selection :

When using (ssget) entity selection based on display properties like

       (ssget "C" ...)
       (ssget "CP" ...)
       (ssget "W" ...)
       (ssget "WP" ...)

it is best for performance to use the smallest possible area - this ensures that no unrelated display objects are processed
(selection is based on the "GraphicalSystem" nodes - the visual items visible on screen)
