Etransmit

Command: ETRANSMIT

The Etransmit command creates a package of a drawing file and all its dependencies, such as: external references, images, font files, plot configuration files, plot style tables and font map files.

The root drawing and all its dependencies can be copied to a folder are compressed in a ZIP file.

Optionally you can send the ZIP file attached to an email.

To use Etransmit

1. Do one of the following:

• Choose eTransmit/eBridge... in the File menu.

• Choose Dependencies... in the Settings menu.

• Type etransmit in the command bar, then press Enter.

The Drawing Explorer dialog opens the Dependencies category is selected:

2. Click the eTransmit button () in the Details toolbar.
   The eTransmit dialog opens:
   
   

3. By default all dependencies are selected to be included in eTransmit.
   Click a checkbox to remove a file. Click again to add a file.

4. Click the Transmit button.
   The eTransmit settings dialog opens:
   
   

5. Click the Browse for folder button () to select the eTransmit destination folder.
   The Browse for folder dialog opens:
   
   

6. Select the  eTransmit destination folder, then click the OK button.

7. Define the eTransmit settings:

• Save Format: Optionally, choose a different DWG version. All drawing files in the eTransmit package will then be converted to the selected format.

• If file exists: If a file exists in the output folder, you can choose to overwrite it or not. Choose Abort if you want to exit eTransmit in such case.

• Output: Choose whether eTransmit creates a ZIP file or not.

• Send mail: This option is available if Zip file is chosen as the Output option only.
  If checked, eTransmit prepares an email, with the ZIP file in attachment.

• Zip file: Choose an option to name the ZIP file.

• Update image paths: If checked, the saved paths for image files are updated, according to the new location.

• Update xrefs paths: If checked, the saved paths for xrefs are updated, according to the new location.

• Folder structure: If the source files exist in different folders, select an option.

8. Click the Transmit button.
   The eTransmit report window displays. Click the OK button to close the report window.
   
   

9. If the Send mail option is chosen in step 7, eTransmit creates a new mail message with the ZIP file in attachment.
