Converts the current drawing into a mechanical component.

The command does nothing if the drawing is a mechanical component already.

Accessing the Command

command bar:  bmmech

menu bar: Mechanical | Initialize Mechanical Structure

toolbar: Mechanical |

: bmmech

Prompts you in the command bar:

Name for new mechanical component <CurrentDrawingName> : (Press Enter to accept the current name or type a new name if you want to keep the original. If the drawing was not yet saved before, a default name, Component_1, is suggested.)

Command Options

No options.

Related Commands

BmInsert - inserts an existing mechanical component into the current drawing.

BmNew - creates a new mechanical component as a new drawing file.

BmUnmech - converts the current mechanical component into a plain drawing.
