Isolates layers associated with entities selected in the drawing; locks or turns off all other layers (short for "layer isolate").
Accessing the Command
command bar: layiso
menu bar: Settings | Layers | Isolate Layer

Prompts you in the command bar:
Current setting: Lock layers
Select entities on the layer(s) to be isolated or [Settings]: (Pick one or more entities, or type S.)
Enter setting for layers not isolated [Off/Lock] <Lock>: (Type O or L.)
In paper space viewport use [Vpfreeze/Off] <Vpfreeze>: (Type V or O.)
Select entities on the layer(s) to be isolated or [Settings]: (Choose more entities, or press Enter to exit the command.)
Njmber of isolated layers: 3. This layer is current: LAYER_NAME.
Bricscad isolates the selected layers by locking or turning off all other layers.
The layer of the first entity you choose is made the current layer.
Command Options
Option |
Description |
Selects one or more entities. Choose the entities whose layers should be not be locked or turned off. This prompt repeats itself until you press Enter; this allows you to isolate more than one layer. The layer of the first selected entity becomes the current layer. |

Specifies how layers and viewports should be isolated; prompts you: Enter setting for layers not isolated [Off/Lock] - type O or L.
In paper space viewport use [Vpfreeze/Off] - type V or O.
