WipeOut

Works with Bricscad (Windows) Classic, Pro and Platinum, Bricscad (Linux) Classic and Pro

Creates wipeouts, blank areas in the drawing.

Accessing the Command

command bar:  wipeout

menu bar:  Draw | WipeOut

 

: wipeout

Prompts you in the command bar:

Frames/Polyline/<Start point>: (Pick a point, or enter an option.)

Next point: (Pick another point.)

Undo/<Next Point>: (Pick another point, or type U.)

Undo/Close/<Next Point>: (Enter another point, or type C to end the command.)

 

Use the DrawOrder command to move the wipeout in front or behind other entities.

Command Options

Option

Description

Start point

Specifies the staring point of the wipeout frame.

Pick a point or enter x,y coordinates.

Next point

Specifies the next vertex of the wipeout frame.

Undo

Undoes the last segment.

Close

Closes the frame.

 

Frames

Toggles the display of the wipeout frame; prompts you:

Enter display mode: OFF/<ON> - type OFF or ON.

  • OFF - turns off the frame. When the fame is off, the wipeout cannot be selected.

  • ON - turns on the frame.

Polyline

Uses a closed polyline to construct the wipeout frame; prompts you:

Select a closed polyline - pick a closed polyline. Only polylines composed of line segments are accepted.

Delete selected polyline? Yes/<No> - determines whether the polyline is erased:

  • Yes - erases the polyline.

  • No - does not erase the polyline.

Grips Editing

Wipeouts can be edited directly through grips:

  1. Select the wipeout. Notice that it has one grip at each vertex.

  2. Drag a grip to stretch the vertex.
