Works with BricsCAD (Windows) Pro and Platinum BricsCAD (Linux) Pro and Platinum
Adds or removes volume from a solid by moving a face or an attached closed 2D contour.
Accessing the Command
command bar: dmpushpull
menu bar: Model | Direct Modeling | Push/Pull
toolbar: Direct Modeling |
: dmpushpull
Prompts you in the command bar:
Select faces or closed 2D contours to push/pull: (select one or more faces on the same or different solids and or attached closed 2D contours; press and hold the TAB key to select hidden geometry. Press Enter to stop selecting geometry.)
The selected geometry is edited dynamically. Click to define or type a value in the dynamic entry field. Press the TAB key to display an alternative dynamic entry field (e.g. absolute distance instead of relative distance). 2D contours must lie on a face of a solid.
Command Options
Option |
Description |
Planar faces |
The faces are moved, thus adding or removing volume from the solid(s). The value of the movement vector displays in the dynamic entry field. |
Cylindrical and spherical faces |
Edits the radius. The current radius displays in the dynamic entry field. |
Toroidal faces |
Edits the tube radius of the torus. The current radius displays in the dynamic entry field. |
2D contours |
Depending on the extrusion direction the extruded contour is unified with or subtracted from the existing solid the 2D contour was attached to. |
