Changes the working layer to that of a selected entity (short for "layer make current").

Accessing the Command

command bar: laymcur

alias: setlayer

menu bar: Settings | Layers | Set Layer by Entity

toolbar: Entity Properties |

Prompts you in the command bar:

Description

Select entity to set the current layer

Selects an entity. The entity's layer is made the current layer.

For example, if the entity's layer is "Doors," then selecting changes the current layer to "Doors."

Related Commands

Layer - creates layers and changes their properties through a dialog box.

LayerState - saves and restores layer states.

LayFrz - freezes layers associated with selected entities.

LayThw - thaws all frozen layers.
