Works with Bricscad (Windows) Classic and Pro, Bricscad (Linux) Classic
Creates 3D mesh surfaces by connecting two separate linear entities.
Accessing the Command
command bar: rulesurf
menu bar: Draw | Meshes | Ruled Surface
toolbar: Draw 3D | 3D Surfaces

: rulesurf
Prompts you in the command bar:
Select entity to define first end of ruled surface: (Select an open object.)
Select entity to define other end: (Select another open object.)
Command Options
Option |
Description |
Specifies the first boundary line; choose any open object, such as line, arc, polyline, or spline. Closed entities and 3D entities do not work. |

Specifies the second boundary line. |
Grips Editing
Ruled surfaces can be edited directly through grips:
Select the rulesurf. Notice that it has one grip at each vertex.
Drag the grip to move the adjacent faces.
